Air Quality Flag Program

Each day our schools display a flag in a common area of the building corresponding to how clean or polluted the air is in our town. The color of the flag matches EPA's Air Quality Index: green, yellow, orange, red, and purple. 

On healthy days (green & yellow), breathe easy and know that the air quality is healthy for outdoor activities. 

On less-than-healthy days (orange, red, and purple), we use this information to adjust physical activities to help reduce exposure to air pollution, while still keeping people active. The widget to the right is updated daily.
