Through the InnovateNJ program, parents engage in science and engineering practices with students. Dinner is provided beforehand so the action can happen on a full belly.
Science & Engineering: BFF's THANKS to NJSLS-S
Previously, science and engineering were often taught in isolation. Scientists would study the nature of something or some phenomenon, while engineers look to generate solutions to human problems. It seemed that the important connection between the two disciplines had been forgotten. Thanks to the NJSLS-S, students are learning about how these two activities are closely linked and benefit each other. Explore below to learn more about the NJSLS-S (NGSS).
