Mental Health Clinician 

Samantha Valega-Bouchoux

Ms. Samantha Valega-Bouchoux has worked with children and families for over twenty-five years from hospitals, to residential treatment facilities, outpatient settings,  and schools.  She has a degree in Psychology from Rutgers University, and a minor in Education.  She graduated with a Masters in Social Work from New York University and recently completed an NYU Silver Post-Master’s Certificate in Advanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She has a private practice and specializes in Psychological Evaluations for Immigration Court.  Ms. Bouchoux has worked in Long Branch since 2007 at the Long Branch School of Holistic and Academic Wellness (SHAW). Ms. Bouchoux enjoys Pilates, dancing, reading, traveling, and having fun with friends and family. She takes pride in providing our local families and students with the needed tools of managing emotions so they can live a happier life.  Ms. Bouchoux habla español y quiere ayudarle a usted y a su familia a tener las herramientas para manejar sus emociones y vivir una vida más feliz 

Youth Development Specialist 

Nykeirah Jones


Nykeirah Jones is our Youth Development Specialist. She is located on the 4th Floor in the office suite. Nykeirah holds an Associates in Human Services from Brookdale Community College, Bachelors in Social Work from Rutgers University and Masters in Social Work from Kean University. She is a New Jersey Certified School Social Worker.


Nykeirah is a proud graduate Long Branch School District and is fully integrated into the community.  She is looking forward to making many connections with all students, staff and community families!

Student Assistance Counselor

Jessica Stos

Jessica Stos is our Student Assistance Counselor. She attended Monmouth University and graduated with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Jessica also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Dance with a minor in Psychology from Rutgers University and is a certified yoga teacher.  

 Miss Jess looks forward to celebrating the diversity of the Long Branch community. She provides advocacy and support in both Spanish and English. Jessica is passionate about empowering students by creating a space that is led by compassion and curiosity.

Tiriq Callaway 

Tiriq R. Callaway is our new Mental Health Clinician. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in social work from Seton Hall University, and then went on to graduate with his master’s degree in social work from Monmouth University. With 10 plus years of experience in social work, he has dedicated his career to serving various populations, including the homeless, mentally ill, individuals with disabilities, those impacted by Hurricane Sandy, and students in the education system. Working in the Long Branch School District for the past four years, he has been dedicated to supporting children on their journey through life and school. His sole purpose is to inspire and encourage students through empathy. With his knowledge, experience, and creative abilities, he intends to help students reach their fullest potential in and out of school.

Dr. Nicole Trainor  

Dr. Trainor has worked for the Long Branch Public Schools since 1999 in various roles. She has three degrees from Monmouth University, with a dissertation focused on Social Emotional Learning. She has presented at several National and International conferences and workshops on the importance of Social Emotional Learning as well as ways districts can implement and facilitate holistically integrated SEL for staff, students, families and the community. Dr. Trainor believes very strongly in educating the whole child and preparing our students to be successful in school and in the future.

Wellness Coach



Amy Zambrano

Amy Zambrano is a proud Green Wave alum. Her Wellness Coaching focuses on empowering the mind, body, and breath awareness for maintaining a healthy well being. Amy has been in the education field for 14 years and has over 1000 hours of Yoga/Mindfulness/Meditation/SEL teacher training, along with attending Rosemont College, Villanova University and Rutgers University. Amy has been a presenter at the Coalition of Schools Educating Mindfully Conference, NJAHPERD Conventions, Peekapak SEL Summits and was a virtual presenter for the New Jersey Department of Education’s Digital Professional Learning Series. Amy's goal is to create strength, flexibility and balance, both physically and mentally for Green Wave students, staff and families to reach their full potential.





Supervisor For School Counseling Services 

Nikkia Blair

Nikkia Blair is the Supervisor for School Counseling Services. She began her career in the Long Branch School District as a Certified School Social Worker in 2002. She obtained a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and a Minor in Dance from Richard Stockton College.  She attended New York University and graduated with a Masters in Social Work. Nikkia is a 200 hour registered yoga teacher and Certified Wellness, Social Emotional Learning Facilitator.

Nikkia’s mission is to create an impact on humanity through offering opportunities for wellness and personal growth. She is passionate about building community connections, expanding volunteer opportunities and empowering Educators, Families and all Students.
