Summer Reading Initiative

Long Branch High School's summer reading initiative fosters continued engagement in literacy activities and provides a foundation for students to help tackle the demands of the next grade level. Continued reading and participation in a summer reading program help promote a more positive attitude toward reading, boosts students' reading confidence, and can reduce the need for teachers to reteach reading skills and strategies, allowing them to focus on higher-level critical thinking skills.
