Absences & Illnesses

Absences: When calling your child in sick, please leave a detailed message on the absence line with a specific reason or illness (ex. fever, sore throat, cough). This information is important, as nursing can then monitor and track trends of illness such as influenza, pneumonia, bronchitis, strep, and gastrointestinal viruses within grade levels. We can notify parents as needed and especially for those classrooms with student's who are immunocompromised. If he/she requires antibiotics please keep them home for 24 hours after starting the medication.
