Classroom Counseling

We have many loves in this job, but being in the classroom comes out on top. This is the way in which we can reach each student throughout the building on a consistent basis. We focus on the following topics:

• Problem solving

• Conflict Resolution

• Friendship Makers and Breakers

• Study Skills and habits

• Understanding the Brain and How it Works

• Career Development

This year, we will be going in to 4th and 5th grade classrooms on a weekly basis! All other grade levels will have a counseling lesson on a rotational basis. Each classroom will have a lesson about once every 2-3 weeks.

Throughout the school day, the children will be learning about Choose Love, and we as counselors will supplement what the children are already learning from their teacher in morning meeting about such topics.
