Dear K Families,

I am excited to teach full day K this school year.  You will  find me at Matthew Thornton in Room 22!

Home/School communication is very important.  The Pick Up Patrol app will be used to communicate  dismissal information.  The  cut off time is 2:45 PM for changes.

 Please put other notes in your child's folder or  email me at swright@londonderry.org. 

 Please be aware that since I am busy with the children, I usually check email and make phone calls before and after school.  A class newsletter will be emailed home most Fridays. Please check your child's folder daily for school notices and classwork.

Every day is a busy day We have small and whole group lessons, many focusing on Language Arts and Mathematics.  The children enjoy learning games, art activities, songs, stories, snack, lunch and recess. Specials are:

Weather permitting we will have outdoor recess daily. Send your child dressed for outdoor play (sneakers or other sturdy shoes).  Just a reminder we do not celebrate students' birthdays with cupcakes or other snacks. Please do not send food in for his/her birthday.  Your child will pick from the birthday box instead.  Thank you for your support!

Please check your child’s folder and return daily. Your child only needs one folder for school. 

Please pack one small easy to open snack. If your water bottle tends to leak, please put it in a Ziploc bag.  At this time we do not have peanut or nut allergies in our classroom.  This is subject to change and we will keep you informed. 

We are fortunate to have many supplies for the children such as pencils, glue, crayons and scissors.

These items are also handy to have at home along with dice and playdoh for homework.
