Welcome! My name is Hilary Walter, and I am a reading specialist at South School. I am excited to get to know you and your child this year! We are going to have an awesome year filled with fun and learning!
A little bit about me...
I hold Master's degrees in Elementary Education, as well as in Reading and Writing. Additionally, I am certified in the Orton-Gillingham approach. My training includes various science-based programs for reading and writing, including IMSE Comprehensive Orton-Gillingham Plus, IMSE Morphology Plus, LETRS, The Writing Revolution, and Lively Letters. Prior to my role as a reading specialist, I worked as a third-grade teacher.
