Welcome! My name is Kathleen Peterson and I love being a reading specialist at South School. I'm excited to get to know you and your child this year. We are going to have an awesome year filled with fun and learning.
A little bit about me...
I have master's degrees specializing in learning disabilities and reading. I am also a certified dyslexia practitioner. I have been trained in a multitude of reading and writing programs. I was a classroom teacher for many years before becoming a Reading Specialist.
I'm married and have two sons. Kerrick is a junior at UMaine. Caden is a senior at LHS. We live in Londonderry. We have three dogs. They are all adopted. We've also fostered many dogs over the years, which is how we ended up with 3.
