First grade is a special time filled with wonder and excitement!
Each day the children engage in activities that introduce math concepts, reading/language arts skills & writing. Additionally, the children explore various science & social studies topics.
Their days are filled with a multitude of enriching and interactive learning experiences shared with friends!
I love the energy of my first grade friends and am always so impressed with how much each one grows and learns throughout the year! I am looking forward to working alongside you as your child's partner in learning!
Important: We are an "Allergen Aware" classroom, meaning we have students with food allergies, including peanuts/tree nuts.
We snack in the classroom so please be mindful that snacks do not contain peanuts/tree nuts or processed in a facility that handles peanuts/tree nuts.
Children eat lunch in the cafeteria so those products are fine to have for lunch.

I kindly ask each child to bring in a pair of plug-in headphones to be used when working on computers/iPads. Please send headphones in a bag labeled with your child's name.
I will provide each child with a 2 pocket folder that I kindly ask be kept in your child's backpack. This will be helpful when bringing papers back & forth between home & school.
All other supplies are provided by the school.
