Welcome to Mrs. Henderson's First Grade Web Page
Welcome to Room 2! In our classroom you will also meet amazing Reading Teachers and Teacher Assistants, along with making many new friends. Your child will also be introduced to many other teachers, which will assist in your child's learning process throughout the school year!
A Look at Karen Henderson
I have worked with the Londonderry School District now for 21 years and continue to love the minds and honesty of First Graders. I am currently living in Litchfield and I am married with 2 children. Kiana is now 17 and Hunter is 14 so like all families, we definitely keep busy!
Educational Philosophy
My mission is to build a sense of community and establish routines and safe boundaries for your child. I am determined to help your child feel confident about themselves and their ability to learn. I will provide your child with a learning environment that is inviting and invigorating. I believe that your child's needs are my priority and that my job is to create individual strategies for each of my students. It is important to allow your child to experiment and learn things for themselves, through their own exploration and my guidance. Children should be encouraged to excel beyond their expectations and believe in themselves, while having fun in the learning process!
