I'm Miss England, a 2nd grade teacher at North Londonderry Elementary School! I was born and raised in Londonderry, and am so grateful to teach in my hometown and be a part of this amazing community. I love North School!
This will be my fourth year teaching. Last year, I taught third grade, and am so excited to teach your 2nd grader this year! I have the knowledge of what they will need to succeed in third grade. Previously, I taught fourth grade for two years, then third, and I'm excited to embark on a new journey teaching second grade!
There is always an open line for communication between myself and parents/guardians. Having a strong home and school connection is so important to me. I am here to support your child in any way that I can. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns you may have. Email is the best way to get in contact with me.
Here is where you will find information about our classroom schedule, reminders, and homework. I look froward to a great year!

It is very important that students are both reading at home and also practicing their math facts to help them succeed in second grade.
MATH Homework:
Students are asked to complete ONE green light at home on Reflex for homework each week. Reflex is a website for math fact practice (addition/subtraction and eventually multiplication and division). Students will have an opportunity to achieve one of these green lights at school during math centers block. The goal is to have students achieve 2 or 3 green lights per week. They are welcome to get more than one green light at home if they so choose! I will be checking their progress and green lights on Friday mornings each week, when their homework is due.
ONE green light will be done AT SCHOOL* during math centers block.
This is done on the computer by going to Reflex Learning.
Please choose a night that work for your family Monday- Thursday. Students will need to get a "green light" for homework to be considered complete. If they do not get a green light after 30 minutes of practicing their math facts, but have been trying, I will still accept that as credit.
