Welcome to music class! This year, students will meet once a week for 50 minutes to explore a wide range of musical skills through hands-on, creative activities. In Mr. Orio’s classroom, students can look forward to a dynamic blend of high-energy fun and structured learning—from singing and movement to playing instruments like the ukulele, drums, and xylophones. Together, we’ll dive into the core building blocks of music, including beat, rhythm, tempo, pitch, and melody, while learning how to read, create, and perform music with confidence.

I’m Max Orio, an Eagle Scout and Graduate of Keene State College studying Music Education with a focus on choral arts. Raised in Atkinson, NH, I developed a lifelong passion for music and peer-to-peer mentorship early on. My teaching philosophy blends disciplined technical training with creative exploration, empowering students to solve problems, experiment, and find their own musical voice across classical, jazz, and contemporary styles. Outside the classroom, I’m an avid outdoorsman, summer camp counselor, and performing musician.
