About the director
Steven Weikle has been teaching in Lodi Unified since 1996. His choirs have won many superiors and gold medals at numerous choir festivals and events. Mr. Weikle served as assistant director of the Stockton Choral for several years under Dr. Joe Miller and Dr. Edward Chetto, and served as interim director for the end of the Chorale's 2000 season.
His vocal experience ranges from classical to Jazz, singing in Large and small ensembles including, Fresno Early music ensemble, “Black Ice”, an award winning jazz ensemble, many Concert choirs, and church choirs. Mr. Weikle has toured many countries including, British Isles, Germany, Switzerland, France, Italy, and Spain. He has also toured with his own choirs including San Diego, Los Angles, Disneyland, Carson City, Virginia City, and San Francisco.
Currently, Mr. Weikle is teaching piano and choir classes at Tokay High School, general music classes at Borchardt Elementary school and is the music and choir director at The Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist in Lodi.
