Students will engage in authentic problem solving where they will work collaboratively to design and create solutions to hands on problems. These problems will require the integration of skills across disciplines and may also require the acquisitions of new skills, such as coding or digital design.

Increase interest in STEAM-related activities.

STEAM will work to create an inclusive environment by promoting the program and breaking down barriers so that students from all backgrounds feel respected, connected, and invited into this initiative. In addition, STEAM will close the achievement of technical skills gaps between economically disadvantaged students, ELL, students of color, and their peers.
