Don't let the mileage concern you — the Ford E-350 cutaway chassis is the same platform used daily in ambulances, shuttle buses, and school buses, where high mileage is simply the norm. The 5.4L Triton V8 is one of Ford's most proven and widely used engines, powering hundreds of thousands of commercial and fleet vehicles for decades. With proper maintenance, these engines are well documented to reach over 300,000 miles and beyond. At 185,000 miles, this engine still has plenty of life left in it. Most RV's you have seen probably have low mileage. Why? Simply because many owners just dont drive them very much.

I love this vehicle and am sad to have to let it go. It was my daily driver for three years. It is a dream to drive (thanks to the mods I made - see below), and it fits in a standard parking space!

I used it as a mobile locksmith shop/mobile office in a very rural part of NE Georgia. I have since restored the RV configuration, but the “field service” desk and drawers are still available at no additional charge. (picture at the very bottom)

Special Note: I spent a considerable amount of money improving the ride and steering control. It started out driving like a truck, which was a white-knuckle experience, but now it drives like a nice car. See below for details.
