The mission of Lockhart ISD’s Special Services in collaboration with students, staff, family, and community is to compassionately empower individuals by fostering equitable growth through collaborative and inclusive efforts, preparing all for life after graduation, and promoting independence.
All students are general education students first, and the provision of special education and related services, or Section 504 accommodations and supplementary aids and services, are provided in addition to general education—not in place of it.
