Hello and Welcome to 8th Grade Mathematics!
My name is Ms. Morgan Leek and I am thrilled to begin my fifth year of teaching mathematics here at Trailside Middle School. I am from a small town in rural Pennsylvania and earned my math teaching degree from Lock Haven University. I have experience teaching 8th Grade Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy seeking adventure with friends and family! This summer, I went camping with my cousins and visited Knoebels Amusement Park, visited Busch Gardens and Kings Dominion, and moved into a new home. I also love spending time with my best friend, Willow (she's a cat!).
I teach math because I love to explore. Mathematics is so much more than arithmetic and algorithms. Instead, mathematics is about motivation, perseverance, and discovery through challenging problems. I look forward to helping your child grow in their mathematical and critical thinking.
