Sources of energy
Throughout history people have applied philosophy and science to develop an understanding of how energy forms our perception and experience. We return to these detailed frameworks later, but it can be helpful to summarise things into the 5 fundamental sources of energy that make up our lives.
Primary: the cosmic energy that we are made of, flowing from light, gravity, atoms, molecules and stars.
Biological: the life energy of water, air, nutrients, sunshine and fitness.
Emotional: the motivating feelings within us and for others.
Rational: the power of our intellect to learn and make decisions.
Spiritual: the deep sense of awe that inspires our life experience.
Energies from the sun and stars, the earth, water, air, and from other animals and plants, are all part of who we are. We feel the energy of life around us, just as our own energy is felt by our families, other people, our pets and animals, and our living environment.
We are perhaps most sensitive to perceiving the energy states of other people. Drawing positive energy from all 5 sources benefits not only ourselves, but also the health and well-being of the people around us.
