Meditate on what is good
The more capable we are of generating positive energy in our life, the richer our experience becomes of connecting with other people and the natural world. To maintain and expand our energy capabilities, to grow and to thrive, we must go out into the world and challenge ourselves. Our willingness to challenge our comfort zones depends on our underlying feelings of security. If we are consumed by anxious concerns, we are less willing to expose ourselves to the challenges of growth and change. Feeling stressed causes us to use our limited stores of energy for self-protection. Calm, concentrated meditation can guide you to feelings of safety and security, to open your mind to self-determination. Accurately assessing the level of threat in our lives is important so that we can grow and expand rather than forever defend what we think we have to hold on to.
Meditate to access your deep conscious mind. With practice, it will help calm your worries and self-limiting fears. Meditating on what is good focuses your mind on developing the positive sources of energy in your life. Increasing positivity across the sources of energy we can tap into develops our capability for self-determination, freedom and happiness.
Very little is needed to make a happy life, it is all within yourself, in your way of thinking. Marcus Aurelius
