Banavie Primary School endeavors to make Learning for Sustainability a core element of the curriculum. We are part of the Eco Schools Initiative and have received many green flags. Our current green flag was the result of work undertaken by the school on tackling litter, improving biodiversity and food responsible consumption. Currently, we are working on climate change, school grounds and water. We also aim to deliver aspects of the curriculum through Outdoor Learning.
We voted to be in the Eco Group as we enjoy working outdoors and working towards our sustainability goals.
Here is some of our recet endeavours around water, including fundraising for a water vat for our garden so we are using water wisely, learning about waterways in our local area, learning about other countries' experiences of water, facilitating the children's management of access to drinking water throughout the day.
