Happy Friday New Tech!

If you are a student who is leaving campus early due to having a free period, please make sure to sign out on 5star. Please click on the correct pass when signing out, if you are unable to use 5star, let Ms.Cruz or Mr.Dotinga know. If you are parked on the NHS campus, you are able to sign out from your classroom. Please make use of this.

If you are a student taking the RTA bus and leaving early, make sure to sign out on 5star in your classroom or in the front office. If your 5star in the classroom does NOT work, let Mr.Dotinga know so we can ensure that all RTA students get out on time. All students who have turned in bus permission slips will be on 5star. When you are signing out, select the CORRECT pass. 5Star automatically reverts to the bathroom pass, so change it to the correct pass when signing out. Using classroom 5star kiosks will allow for bus students to leave more quickly so make use of them.

Hancock field trip slips are due NEXT WEEK! If you are a junior or senior that is curious about Allen Hancock College, please come and join us for this field trip! Grab permission slips with Ms.Cruz if you would like to go.

There will also be a Cuesta Field trip next month. The Cuesta field trip is only open to seniors. If you are a senior and would like to go visit Cuesta, permission slips will be at Ms.Cruz’s office. The Cuesta field trip will be held on 10/22/2026.

If you are going to any college presentations in the forum at NHS, you must sign up on the career center website. An Elks scholarship presentation will be happening TODAY, so make sure to sign up so you are able to go.

The Arroyo Grande Harvest Festival is looking for student volunteers. They are looking for volunteers for Friday, September 25th from 4-6:30pm and Saturday September 26th from 10:30am-4pm. Community service this school year will be looking different. New forms are available in the front office for you to start getting your hours in. 20 hours of community service are required for you to graduate so do not wait until the last minute. You are able to see how many hours you have earned on Aeries, but if you are not sure please come to front office and ask Ms. Cruz.

Community Service Opportunities

Attention all Boys interested in Wrestling.  There will be a Boys Wrestling interest meeting at lunch in the gym on Monday, 9/21.   The meeting will start at 1:25.  Grab your lunch on Monday and head to the gym to get details about this year's wrestling season.  You will need a pass from Ms.Cruz so please come to the front office on Monday if you would like to attend.
