All About Mrs. Thoryk

Hello and welcome to first grade! My name is Mrs. Thoryk and I will be your child’s first grade teacher! During the first few weeks of school we will be getting to know each other better through many fun activities while learning important rules and procedures.  Creating a classroom environment where everyone feels comfortable, cared for, and important is a top priority for me. To help you get to know me better, here are some fun facts about me. 

1. I know a lot about first graders because this is my 19th year teaching them! 

2. I have a daughter named Violet who just turned 14 and a son named Stefan who is 11. Violet is in 9th grade and Stefan is in 6th grade.

3. I love cats so much that I have two of them! Their names are Phoenix and Luna.

4. I love anything Disney and I LOVE Disney World! I am a super Disney planner and try to visit at least 3-4  year. My favorite characters are Princess Jasmine and Minnie Mouse!

5. Summer is my favorite season, but I also love Fall because I like anything pumpkin (especially Starbucks).

My goal this year is to make our classroom a fun, safe, and exciting place to learn and grow. Please email me with any questions or concerns. More specifics on class schedules, routines, and procedures will be communicated in future letters.
