It is important for children to feel safe and respected in all of their environments. At Pine Road, we partner with Victim Services Center of Montgomery county to help us educate our students and families about personal safety and boundaries and keeping touches safe and healthy. Each classroom in grades Kindergarten through third grade will receive one lesson about “Keeping Touches Safe and Healthy.” A skilled educator from Victim Services Center will join the classroom (virtually) to facilitate a developmentally appropriate lesson; the classroom teacher will be present for the duration of the lesson. These lessons will take place on March 12, 15, 22, 23, 24, 25, or 26. Classroom teachers will indicate the date of their classroom's lesson through their weekly communication or daily agendas.
