Meet Our Student Support Counselor

My name is Malina Mastrocola and I am working as the Student Support Counselor during the 2021 –2022 school year. I am a counselor from Lakeside Educational Network and am excited that Lakeside has partnered with LMTSD this year so that I can work with students on re-engagement due to the pandemic. Some examples of challenges with re-engagement that your student might be dealing with are: difficulty with paying attention, coping skills, problems with friends, emotions related to Covid-19, listening skills, and executive functioning skills. I am at Pine Road five days each week working with students in all grades. You might also see me helping with car line in the mornings and afternoons! If you believe that your child(ren) needs support as s/he/they adjust to in-person learning this year, please reach out to your child(ren)'s school counselor to discuss your concerns.

I earned my Bachelor's degree from Pennsylvania State University (We are!) in Psychology and earned my Master's degree from Rosemont College in Counseling. In my free time I enjoy reading, gardening, and baking. I am looking forward to helping the students at Pine Road cope with the many changes that have resulted from the pandemic and develop a sense of normalcy at school again.

If you think your child is in need of re-engagement support this year, please contact your child's school counselor for more information!
