About Us

History

The National Honor society has always valued leadership and service in its students. Our chapter, named George S. Robinson after our principal at the time, began at our school in 1966, and consisted of around 45 students. It was headed by Mrs. Irene Schultz and Mr. James Herdman, who were both guidance counselors at the school. Throughout the ‘60s, service projects included making books more accessible to students, food drives, and much more. Throughout the years, the National Honor Society has grown substantially. Today we offer a Tutoring Program for fellow students, hold fundraising events and various different drives for people and organizations in need, and volunteer for PTA events at our schools. Our membership has grown to include over 100 members, all devoted to make our community a better place.
