Welcome

My name is Fernanda Lemos and I am looking forward to teaching your child this school year. Since we will be spending this year together, let me share with you a little bit about myself. I am originally from Brazil and I have been living in the United States since 1988. I earned an undergraduate BA degree in 1997 and a Master Degree in Language Arts from Arcadia University in 2002.

I was thrilled to start teaching at Lower Moreland School District as soon as I completed my undergraduate degree. My dream was to teach kindergarten in a small school district and I have been living this dream since 1997. As I reflect on my teaching experience, I can honestly say that I have learned so much about this profession from every child that I have had as a student.

When I am not at school, I enjoy practicing yoga, meditating, running, hiking, reading or listening to a book. My daughter is a college student and my husband is a very talented cook. My mom lives with me and we spend time solving puzzles together and going for walks. I also enjoy spending time with my sister, nephew, niece and my dear friends.

I am delighted that I will be able to share some of my experience with your child this year. My goal is to make sure that each student has an exciting learning experience in a safe environment. I strive to build a community where each child can be their true self and see themselves as a valued member of our classroom. In order for this to happen I will need your support and I encourage you to be part of your child's education.

Together we can make this an amazing and positive experience for your child. I encourage you to read the communication that will be sent to school. Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions by emailing me at flemos@lmtsd.org . I am looking forward to working with you and your child this year.
