About Me

All About Mrs. Tickner

I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA. I grew up with two older brothers, two dogs, and loving parents. I went to Penn State to study Childhood and Early Adolescent Education.  Currently, I am working on getting my Master's of Education at Gratz College.

I began my teaching career in Loudoun County, Virginia. I taught 2nd grade for two years there before moving to Blue Bell, PA to be closer to my then fiancé  and was fortunate enough to get a teaching job at Pine Road! My first and second year of teaching at Pine Road was a whirlwind with getting married in the winter, then with Distance Learning, and then with hybrid learning but I loved the time I got to be at Pine Road!

This year I am excited to be teaching 3rd grade for the third year here at Pine Road. We are going to learn, grow, and laugh a lot together this year. In my classroom, all of my students are individuals and they all learn differently. My goal is to help each child learn to the best of their ability every day.

When I am not at school, I like to be with my family, dog, and friends. I like to  go on hikes, read a book, and relax outside.
