All About Me!

Welcome to high school! My name is Megan Kvarta and I am the Emotional Support teacher at Lower Moreland High School. I have been teaching Special Education students since I started here at Lower Moreland in 2004. My passion for student achievement and love of learning has turned into both a rewarding and enriching career.

I am a product of the Centennial School System. In 2004, I graduated Suma Cum Laude from Temple University, with a Bachelor's degree in Education. I then immediately went back to school and received my Master's degree in Reading in 2006, from Holy Family University. I am currently certified in Special Education and Elementary Education. I am also a certified Reading Specialist.

I live in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, with my wonderful husband, Andrew, my sweet little girl, Ava Grace, my always happy and outgoing little boy, Jack, my angelic little boy, Henry, my easy going newest little princess, Olivia, my energetic dogs, Cooper and Kaiser, and my orange tabby cat, Tiger. When I am not teaching, I enjoy listening to country music, going to Broadway shows, traveling, watching reality T.V., reading, shopping, playing with my babies, and spending time with family and friends. Two interesting facts about me is that I have a huge "sweet tooth" and that I come from a family of teachers. My Mom is a retired Reading First teacher for the School District of Philadelphia and my brother, Matt, teaches Social Studies in Philadelphia.

High School is an exciting year where students excel academically and socially. I am looking forward to an exciting year full of learning!
