Hello Families of a First Grader,
My name is Sara Gallagher and I am so happy to introduce myself as your child’s first grade teacher. I am thrilled to be teaching at Pine Road Elementary School. This will be my eighth year of teaching, and my fifth year of teaching first graders. Previously, I taught first grade and third grade in the West Chester Area School District. I am looking forward to getting to know each one of you, and Lower Moreland’s Pine Road School community!
Our year together will be one of community building, learning, and fun.
Instructional practices can transform a group of students into a collaborative community of learners. As your child's teacher, I have the awesome opportunity to create fulfilling learning experiences for our class. First grade is going to be a wonderful year!

For you and your child to get to know me better, I have listed just a few of my favorites and quick facts below. I am so excited to learn more about your family, make connections with the students, and have a great year together.
My favorite place: My new home! My husband and I bought our first house last year and we have loved turning it into our home.
My favorite movie: Finding Nemo. Besides just the laughs, I love watching it for the beautiful coral reefs and ocean scenes.
My husband and I are both graduates of Upper Moreland- Go Golden Bears!
My favorite activity: I love baking sweets and trying new recipes.
My favorite snack: Chocolate covered pretzels. Sweet and salty, yum!
