Breakout EDU creates engaging learning games for any content area to teach critical thinking, teamwork, and complex problem solving by presenting participants with a series of challenges. Speciality Breakouts can be used to teach core academic subjects including math, science, history, or language arts and have embedded standards.
A Breakout EDU session involves a complex set of puzzles that participants need to solve in order to ”break out” of a situation. There’s an underlying story that goes with the clues to tie everything together. Breakout EDU gives you access to game narratives that you can use in the classroom and a template that allows you to create your own stories.
By reserving a Breakout EDU Box you are able to play countless Breakouts. The box comes with a collection of locks, hidden contraptions, timers, keys, and other “diversion hardware” that can be used to play the Breakout challenges available from the Breakout EDU library, or to design your own.
Go to the Breakout EDU site and sign in using Google.
The school does not currently have full platform access, but there are many accessible games.
Look through the games & find the one that best fits your needs, or design your own.

Email me at rgrosso@lmtsd.org with the game that you have chosen (name and a link) and the date(s) that you will be using it. I will set up your breakout experience (lock setting and completion of the Breakout Box Checklist) and contact you to see if you will need assistance setting up.
At this time I would prefer to set locks for you. If you set the locks yourself and we cannot open them to reset them later, we will need to purchase new locks. You may complete the Breakoutbox Checklist if you would prefer.
