The Special Education Administration is partnering with the Curriculum and Instruction Leadership to respond to the findings and recommendations from the evaluation partners. The focus is on bolstering Meaningful Inclusion.
Initial actions:
Provide professional development for all staff in topics such as supplementary aids and services, Universal Design for Learning, and high-leverage and evidence-based practices;
Refine LMSD’s approach to family engagement with support from PaTTAN;
Explore paraprofessional utilization across the District; and
Initiate the development of a K-12 multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) for all students.
