Timeline
Each senior is assigned to an advisor with whom the senior must meet on a scheduled basis throughout the year. The advisor’s role is to guide the senior through the following meetings and assignments. All assignments must be completed satisfactorily to pass senior project.
January 27 - 30, 2026 Introduction to and overview of Senior Project
Seniors view Introduction to Senior Project presentation from Senior Project Coordinator. (Presentation will be during your American Government class.)
February 6 - February 11, 2026 What do I have to do to pass the senior project?
Meet with advisor
Discussion of Assignment 1 – What do I have to do to pass the senior project?
Expectations clarified where necessary.
Assignment 2 given: Researching Essential Questions and Mentors
February 23 - February 26, 2026 Researching essential questions and mentor possibilities
Meet with advisor
Discussion of Assignment 2 – Researching Essential Questions and Mentors
Talk about plans for finding a Mentor.
Assignment 4 given: Submitting Parental Permission/Release for Participation
March 5 - March 10, 2026 Submitting essential question and developing a project proposal

Clarify role and expectations of Mentor.
March 17 - March 23, 2026 Expectations for remainder of Senior Project – mentor, reflection, documentation and presentation

Discussion of expectations for the experiential phase, including what you will do for your 70 hours, the roles you and your Mentor will play in this experience, and how you feel about this upcoming experience.
April 16 - April 21, 2026 Clarifying Expectations for the Experiential Phase
Meet with advisor
Plan for meetings between advisor and student during the experiential phase
Review expectations for documentation and reflections
Establish time, date, location, resources, expectations for presentation; Review rubric
Assignments 7, 8 and 9 given and discussed: Reflections, Final Presentation and Mentor Evaluation and Log Sheet
LAST DAY FOR SENIOR CLASSES - MAY 1, 2026; EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING PHASE-MAY 4-22, 2026
May 26-29, 2026 (June 1 is for makeups) Final Presentation, Demonstration, or Performance
Make final presentation
Submit completed Assignment 9 Mentor Evaluation Form/ Log Sheet to Advisor (You cannot graduate without this completed form.)
