Where You At

As a teenage girl living during the pandemic, it is no surprise that I have found a hobby in binging on TV shows. One of those shows happened to be the HBO MAX original hit, EUPHORIA. After hearing about all the hype and praise behind the show, I decided to check it out. My experience and enjoyment with the show relied heavily on the character Jules. While watching I could find myself heavily relating to her in terms of values, interests, style and personality. That is why I chose her as my subject to represent my pandemic year.

In this scene we see her looking off into the blue dazed sky, with a melancholic stare. The colors and the expression is why I chose that scene, as it felt like it summed up all my feelings into one shot. I chose to follow the photo very similarly keeping the blue and purple contrast and relying all of the emotions to come from the colors. I feel proud of my work as I feel like it sums up everything I've felt, but next time I would want to do something more original.

Next school year, I will be at a new school, Frank Sinatra School of the Arts, and I will be able to have a fresh start. Really all I am hoping for is a better experience and a new experience so I can show the world who really is, Mia Edwards.
