Living Outside of The Norm

The meaning of “Nothing about us without us” was a way for people to know how people with disabilities can say that without their disabilities it wouldn’t represent them without them. My drawing was about two faces that were split in half and they represent two different disabilities. There is a boy that is blind and there is a girl that is mute. This was like a ying and yang but differently both had what they didn’t have. I have made the disabilities standout by using different art materials.There wasn’t much inspiration in this artwork that I have made. I just didn’t have any idea while drawing this artwork and it was just blank with no ideas that I could have done. I feel a little disappointed in my artwork because this artwork didn’t turn out like the rest of the artworks I have done. This artwork didn’t have any feelings. the artwork itself feels so empty while the streets are colorful. I would probably make a different kind of artwork and make the main point more powerful and more colorful so that it wouldn’t look depressing.
