Hidden Reanimation

The inspiration for my drawing is based off of the x’s that KAWS (An American Artist) uses on the eyes of whatever character he is drawing, except with this artwork I put the x’s on the character’s gloves instead of its eyes. This artwork is also inspired by the video game character “Bendy” from “Bendy and the Ink Machine” and to put it into simple terms, Bendy is a drawing that came to life and is the main antagonist of the horror game it stars in. Putting that aside, this assignment was about drawing some kind of character, while putting our own spin on it that resembles some part of the way KAWS draws in his style, like the x’s he puts on the eyes of a character, or how he changes the head of a character to resemble a skull, those are some of the examples that defines his style. Personally, I like how my work turned out, I feel like I did a good job on the shape of the gloves, and the shape of Bendy’s head as well, and I’m glad I put that slab of wood behind him to make it look like he was the cardboard cutout version you see of him all over the place in the game. However, I feel like next time I should also focus more on the sizes of the things I draw, because I don’t like how the gloves are totally different sizes and the pencil I tried to draw in the background was too small for me to outline with a sharpie.
