Air Pollution

My social message was about air pollution and the dangers it has on us. I think it’s important to talk about pollution because pollution affects us and the environment. If we ignore how much pollution we contribute to for too long then there could be unchangeable effects. I wanted to make it look dull so I tried to use less vibrant colors. I also wanted to show the effects it has on us and one of the causes of air pollution. Air pollution can cause long term effects on people's lungs, heart, and brain. All three of these organs are very vital and we need them to stay healthy so I wanted to show that if you let the problem get extreme enough then it could lead to death. I showed that by drawing X’s where their eyes are supposed to be. Next to it I drew factories that are creating the harmful smoke to show the cause of why their lungs, heart, and brain were unhealthy.

I feel okay about my poster. Originally I wanted to do a painting but I messed up and couldn’t fix it so I tried to re-do it with paper and markers. In my original painting I wanted to draw people and factories so I’m glad that I got to draw that on my second version but I had to scrap the article idea. I didn’t have space to add the articles I originally wanted to which is kind of sad since the articles connected to my drawing. Next time, I would be more careful when painting to avoid mistakes so I could stick with my original idea.
