Asian Lives Matter

My message of the poster is "Asian Lives Matter," and I wanted to show that the crimes against the Asian community are unfair and wrong. I am a person of the Asian community and Chinese when people in your community are being targeted for their appearance that is wrong, just like how the Black community is treated and that is also wrong. Just thinking about how my grandma lives in a community where these hate crimes usually happen to old Asian elderly people is scary.

I chose to have two different blues, the light blue represents other Asians supporting those who have been attacked and the dark blue is around the Asians who have been harmed to represent this negative light and idea contrasting with the light positive blue. The flowers really are to show the beauty is others supporting others no matter what. I decided to have different Asians shown supporting because asians as a whole do not all look alike or are the same. And when you are targeting people in the asian community you are targeting all asians. I feel pretty proud surprisingly because it turned out well and still has a strong message. I feel my image is perfect, that there are no changes I would want to make.
