Watermelon

This assignment was about creating a pop art drawing using a fruit or vegetable that connects to you in some way. So the fruit that I chose was a watermelon because it is one of my favorite fruits and I love to have it during the summer.

I chose the black and white striped background because I really wanted the only colorful thing on my drawing to be the watermelon so that it would really stand out on the drawing. I really like this artwork because I liked picking fruit to draw and I liked that we were supposed to make pop art so I am proud of this drawing because I love how it turned out. Next time I will try to make the black lines as straight as possible and not let the black lines touch each other.
