Ms. Rafia

Hello, everyone!

My name is Bibi Rafia, and you can call me Miss Rafia. I am a new NET at this school. You’ve probably seen me around quite a few times now!

I was born and raised in Hong Kong, which has given me many opportunities to learn about different cultures within the city and see the beautiful places all around. My favourite place in the whole of Hong Kong is the Hung Hom Promenade. I find the seaside very calming.

In my free time, I usually go out and explore scenic points around the city, or read a book or two. When I read a book, it feels like there’s a movie that’s playing in my head. Therefore, I try to read every chance I get and encourage others to do so as well.

Apart from having regular English lessons with Primary 1 students, I am also one of the teachers who is responsible for designing a school-based reading programme for the students at this school.

At this age, I know it can be hard to get into the habit of reading. That is why our lessons are focused on making reading fun and making sure students have a chance to think of the different ways in which a story may go. Apart from that, you will also see me in many other fun activities that will be held, especially to celebrate different holidays such as Christmas.

Learning English is definitely not as easy as it looks, but I believe that every big change happens with a small step. We are here to help you take that first step, so let’s read together and open up new worlds for ourselves!
