One reason I love working at Lake Lure Classical Academy is because I do not have to choose my favorite child and adolescent developmental stage to work with. I have had the opportunity to work with our high school and middle school students since I began working at LLCA in the fall of 2020. Starting in August 2022, I look forward to serving our newest Raptors from Kindergarten to 6th grade. I am excited to assist students with so many life transitions - whether they are transitioning to Kindergarten, Middle school, or learning to adapt to life's challenges. I have a passion for building resiliency skills in children and adolescents. I have spent most of my career working in schools with a high percentage of military families at both the primary and secondary levels. I began my career in Western North Carolina, worked in Germany, then Colorado and finally made my way back home a few years ago.
I am a Rutherford County native, married to a retired Green Beret, and a mom to two LLCA students. I am the proud parent of a 9th and 6th grader at LLCA. Our family enjoys outdoor adventures, holds a deep appreciation for fine and performing arts and we love giving back to our school community. You will likely find us at cross country meets and soccer matches as well as the school musical. I love to travel, play board games, learn horsemanship skills, take on special projects like the gaga pit project and spend time with our family pets.
