Open House - Welcome Back Event

Held the day before school starts, Tuesday, September 1, 2026 from 4p-5:30p. The PTA supports MTP staff in welcoming students back from the summer. We hand out popsicles, help promote the value of PTA, and talk to members (new and veteran). This is one of our biggest membership drives of the year.

Costume Carnival

Our Costume Carnival for 2026 is still TBD. Volunteers are critical to the success of this event as the Costume Carnival is one of the PTA's most participated in Family Fun Nights!

Students and their families wear costumes (that do not cover the face) and participate in carnival-style games and activities to earn candy and other prizes. Students must be accompanied by an adult.

Fall Conferences

November 23 to 25, 2026. The PTA sponsors the late-night session by hosting dinner for staff. While we do not need a lot of volunteers in attendance (more set up and cleanup), we do kindly ask for food item donations that follow the agreed-upon theme. New for this year: K-5 do not have school. For more information on how to sign up for conferences please reach out to the students teacher.

Fall Book Fair

The Fall Book Fair for 2026 is TBD. Typically held the first week of December the Book Fair is a very popular event for students and families to check off their holiday shopping lists! We need volunteers throughout the school day (and one late-night session) to help cashier and monitor the books.

APEX Fun Run

Mt. Pilchuck Elementary's APEX Fundraiser will run from January 26-February 5, 2027. The Fun Run for 2027 is TBD. A two week long fundraising event that focuses on building leadership skills through daily tasks and challenges. The APEX leadership fundraiser is our largest fundraiser of the year and helps fund things like new school playground equipment, a digital communication board, new basketball hoops, and helps funds the Art program. Volunteers usually help manage students by counting their laps/repetitions of the assigned activity and the APEX team does the rest!

Community Garden

Our Garden Volunteers have had a great time engaging with classes. The kids have had the opportunity to plant 7 verities of radishes. Lots of weeding and cleaning of the garden has been done and the spring planting plan is in the works.

Drama Club Play

2026-2027 Date is TBD. The MTP Drama Club and PTA are excited to host a play performed by students! Play dates are usually in March (before Spring Break). The PTA is looking for volunteers to do various roles (popcorn, escorting performers between stage and costumes, and handling ticket sales at the front).

Staff Appreciation Week

Staff Appreciation Week is usually the first week of May. Check back in early 2027 for volynteer opportunies and the dates. We celebrate our wonderful staff and teachers at MTP, as well as, our bus drivers and classroom volunteers who help support our students. The PTA typically hosts a coffee cart as well as simple and fun student-focused activities like making cards for their favorite staff members.

Field Day

2026-2027 Date is TBD (pending snow-day makeups). This event is led by the PE staff at MTP. The PTA provides volunteers to help set up, break down, and monitor/manage the different events set up throughout the field, including the 100-yard dash, shoe toss, bouncy houses, tug-o-war, and hula hoop contests (to name a few).

Fifth Grade Graduation

2026-2027 Date is TBD (pending snow-day makeups). The PTA supports the 5th-grade teaching staff by providing volunteers for the graduation procession/crowd control. We also help buy the "5th grader plant" that is planted at the school in memory of their time at MTP.
