LSSD emphasizes the importance of learning. Students are responsible and accountable for the following:
Attending school on a regular basis
Demonstrating consistent on-task behavior
Extending effort to progress in a subject matter
Bringing needed materials to class each day
Although improving academic performance requires effort and cooperation at all levels, students who demonstrate consistent academic non-performance may be subject to discipline.
Our LSSD middle schools operates on a semester school year. Teachers post grades online every two weeks. Progress reports will be issued every six weeks. Semester grades become part of the student’s permanent record. It is important that parents/guardians contact teachers with any questions they might have about classroom performance. Families can email teachers or call the school.
