About Long-Gang
Our History
Our school was founded in 1968 in the Long gang area in the south of Zhongli District, close to Bade, Daxi, Pingzhen, and Yangmei, as well as near the Zhongshan Expressway and the Highway 2 Interchange, and the railway station, conveniently located along the north-south traffic axis.
Yunnan-Myanmar Culture
Our school district counts several veterans villages, especially from guerilla warfare units in China’s Yunnan Province and neighboring Burma (now Myanmar). When these officers, soldiers, and their dependents retreated to Taiwan, they brought their culture and cuisine with them, and they have preserved them as they settled in Taiwan. Each April we hold the Longgang Rice Noodle Festival, which has become a staple event on the social calendar of the Longgang area.
