Senior Scholarship Minute
Seniors, scholarship opportunities continue to be added to our Counselling Center Scholarship list. For example:
The Sandy Hill Foundation will be awarding $3000 scholarships to multiple students from specific local school districts, including Lake George. Academic performance, financial need, and character/motivation are among the criteria for selection. Application Deadline: April 1, 2026.
The Robert J. Nolan Foundation Scholarship provides $5000 renewable scholarships to multiple student-athletes from nine area high schools who plan to continue their athletic participation in college. Application Deadline: April 16, 2026.
To learn more about these scholarships and the many additional scholarships available to Lake George seniors, Click here to visit the Counseling Center Scholarship Page.
Please note: the Senior Scholarship Application is a separate collection of local scholarships that are different than the scholarships listed on our Counseling Center Scholarship Page. The Senior Scholarship Application includes only scholarships designated specifically for Lake George seniors. There will be a senior class meeting 8th period on Tuesday, March 31st to discuss the process for submitting the Senior Scholarship Application. Students with classes out of the building at that time will receive the information at another time.
Senior Mid-Year Grade Reports
to Colleges
Colleges often require copies of their applicants' senior year mid-year grades. The Counseling Office will be sending out mid-year reports once Q2 grades are finalized. These reports will provide your course averages based on Q1 and Q2 grades, your updated 3.5-year class rank, and any changes to your course schedule.
We send your mid-year report to colleges in different ways depending on the method you used to apply to each of your schools. Some methods require action on your part to have your mid-year report sent.
Click here to read a document that explains how your mid-year report will be sent to each of your colleges, based on how you applied. Please reach out to Mrs. Crisler or me with any questions.
**If you need help finalizing your college applications or financial aid applications, please make an appointment with me so I can help you move your plans forward.
Sincerely,
Mr. Preuss
