What can students report?
Illegal weapons
Illegal drugs, alcohol
gang activity, graffiti
bullying
dating violence
assault
theft
What is the process?
caller will not be asked to provide any personal information such as name, address, school ID, or phone number
caller will provide as much information as possible on the suspect (name, clothing, hair color, school or classroom, brief account of the incident witnessed). What was seen? Location? Describe vehicle if used?
caller will be issued a number code for future use
Upon investigation, if the information provided by the caller leads to an arrest, the student may be eligible for a cash reward.
How does the reward work?
There are several methods of how the reward can be paid. The most common is for the reward to be paid at the caller’s respective campus.
It is extremely important that the caller not mention, or speak with anyone about having made the anonymous call to the crime stopper hotline.
If the caller does disclose information, the responsibility will fall on the caller.
The La Joya I.S.D. Campus Crime Stoppers Inc., La Joya I.S.D. Police Department, and/or La Joya Independent School District will not be held liable for any actions, or consequences that might occur due to the information leaked by the caller.

Police Officer, Juan Jose Morales was a 26 year veteran of the La Joya ISD Police Department. He served honorably as a K9 Handler and guided many officers in the profession. But his test of his devotion and dedication to his work duties showed on his perfect attendance to his profession. He exemplified true love and passion for his career and was a positive role model for his fellow officers, the community, and to the students he served in our district schools. A true professional who would come to work on time and have perfect attendance year after year earning yearly perfect attendance awards.
La Joya ISD Campus Crime Stoppers wish to honor his legacy by creating the "Kilo One Perfect Attendance Scholarship Fund". Providing scholarships to students who have shown the same level of commitment Officer Morales demonstrated in his profession.
We are asking for any monetary donations to help provide college scholarships for students in our district who show perfect attendance from Pre-kinder to 12th grade. 100% of all proceeds will go to the students. Any donation will be greatly appreciated. Receipt of donation for tax purposes are available upon request.
