Band Director
I started my musical journey in the 5th grade at St.Charles Elementary, a small K-7 school down Bayou Lafourche from Thibodaux surrounded by sugar cane fields. As a young percussionist at St.Charles I fondly remember playing Brontosaurus Stomp at the school talent show. From those early years through high school, college (Northwestern State, LSU, & Southeastern), and beyond music has been an important part of my life.
My teaching stops include Archbishop Rummel HS (Metairie, LA), Redemptorist HS (Baton Rouge, LA), St. Amant HS (St. Amant, LA), Denham Springs Jr High (Denham Springs, LA), and North Corbin Jr High (Walker, LA).
The most important people in my life came to me through our shared musical experiences. Friendships that have lasted decades were forged in band class. My wife, Allison and I even met in high school band! I was the dreamy percussionist and she played the flute and was a member of the colorguard. We have three kids (Colin on the trumpet, Liam on the tuba, and Gavin on the clarinet) and two dogs (Henry, Penny).
Though music is an important part of my life you'll often find me at LSU Baseball games or PARDS coaching my kids in soccer, basketball, or baseball. Lego, Disney Theme Parks and Star Wars occupy any other available time and energy.
I'm a member of The National Association for Music Education, Louisiana Music Educator's Association(District 4 Director), Livingston Parish Band Director's Association (President), The Livingston Parish Teachers Association (Co-Chair).
