Basic Support: Every college/ university must comply with the law to provide equal access to students. Students must be admitted to the college/ university before they apply for services.
Coordinated Support: Every college/ university must comply with the law to provide equal access to students, but may provide additional accommodations. Students may be allowed to apply simultaneously to the LD program in addition to acceptance to the college/university. This may be on a probationary or conditionally. Students are still required to request services and must advocate for themselves.
Structured Support/ LD Programs: Some colleges/ universities offer significant services for students with Learning Disabilities. Students may be required to apply directly to the LD program or can apply simultaneously to the admissions office and LD programs.
