Information about how we provide transportation to our 

Private & Parochial Students

We do not provide transportation on days that Liverpool CSD is not in session. (ie. Snow days, Superintendent Conference days, etc.)

Private and Parochial Transfer Bus Procedure

The Liverpool Central School District utilizes a transfer system to efficiently transport students who attend out of district Private and Parochial schools.

We currently service 26 Private and Parochial schools.

Some of which have to utilize the transfer system because of the bell times.

How the Transfer Process works:

Morning Transportation:

• Your child will be picked up at their assigned bus stop in the morning by a collection bus. (ex. 61-1)

• The collection bus will bring your child to Long Branch Elementary School, which serves as our morning transfer location.

• At Long Branch, your child will transfer to their designated school bus, which will take them directly to their Private or Parochial school. (ex. 62-2)

Please note: The buses to the Private and Parochial schools will depart from Long Branch at 7:15 a.m.

If you prefer, you may drop your child off directly at the morning transfer location (Long Branch Elementary) before the 7:15 a.m. departure. 

Please ensure your child arrives in the morning with enough time to safely board their school bus before it departs.

Afternoon Transportation:

• In the afternoon, your child will board their school bus at their Private or Parochial school and travel to the Chestnut Hill School Complex, our afternoon transfer location.

• At Chestnut Hill, your child will transfer to their assigned collection bus, which will bring them back to their neighborhood bus stop.

Please note: The buses from the Private and Parochial schools are scheduled to arrive at Chestnut Hill at approximately 3:45 p.m.

If you prefer, you may pick them up in the afternoon from the Chestnut Hill School Complex at 3:45 p.m.
