I have been teaching high school science since 2002 and hold a BS degree in Biochemistry and a MSEd in Science Teaching, both from Syracuse University. I hold New York State Teaching Certifications in Biology and Chemistry. I have taught a variety of courses including Regents Living Environment, SUPA Biology, Zoology, Earth Science and General Chemistry. In 2014, I was honored to be chosen as a New York State Master Teacher - an opportunity that has allowed me to attend over 150 hours of professional development in STEM content areas. I absolutely love teaching the next generation about how science impacts our world and exposing students to the problems science is currently addressing (I always tell them they may be part of the solution some day!). My favorite aspect of teaching science is that there is ALWAYS something new we learned today! This field changes by the minute and it is fascinating to learn what we have figured out and realize that there is even more that we haven't! Biology, Chemistry, Physics & Earth Science impact our lives in ways we don't even realize until we take the time to learn! Please contact me with any questions you may have at any time!
